The Way To Change How You Feel Right Now
Anything could put you in a negative mood such as horrible weather, banging your toe on the side of the bed, your worst subject at school is next. What ever the reason you don’t feel in the best of moods, changing how you feel is easy. Remember you can be in control of how you are feeling, any time you want. Besides Tapping with us to help you “feel good fast” you could try some of the things below:
We have collected many activities for you. Try as many of them as you can until you find the ones that de-stress you the best. If one doesn’t work, move on. Don’t get stressed about them.
- For starters, try going to a place where you can go right now to get away. Such as another part of your home, sat in your favourite chair or even imagine yourself at your favourite place right now!!!!
- Call a friend (a happy friend)
- Read a book (keep it happy)
- Write your feelings in a journal
- Play with your friends
- Work on your hobby
- Watch a funny video
- Watch one of your favourite TV shows
- Sit silently for 10 minutes (quiet the noise in your mind)
- Have a heart to heart talk with a good friend or parent
- Listen to happy music if you are feeling sad or calming music if you are feeling angry/anxious
There you go, there are some great ways you can change how you are feeling right now. Don’t give up until you have tried them all to see which ones work for you. All you need is 2 or 3 of them to work for you, for you to have the control of how you are feeling. How amazing is that!!!
Gabbi Dix tragically lost her daughter Izzy who was bullied on the website Ask.fm and she took her own life. Join me in calling on David Cameron to ensure young people are protected from the dangers of cyberbullying on Ask.fm.
This petition won’t bring Izzy back. But it will spread awareness about the potential dangers of Ask.fm to parents and teens and could save lives.
This film contrasts the life of a young boy, with the story of Ellie, who was sexually exploited since she was thirteen.
While the boy has a loving and stable support network, including his teacher, to help him find the courage to overcome his fear, Ellie however feels she has no one.
It shows a Barnardo’s support worker offering Ellie the practical and emotional support she needs to recover and start to rebuild her life. All abuse is wrong and it is not your fault in any way. You “CAN” make any abuse stop and get the help and support you need. We are here to help as well as Barnardo’s. With the right support children can conquer anything.
If you could do anything what would it be? Remember you are in control of your future, so what do you want and then work out how you are going to get it. Good luck and don’t let anyone or anything stand in your way.
‘My Winkle’,’ My Tiddler’, whatever they call it, children need to know their private parts are private. Watch this NSPCC video and find out how the Underwear Rule can help keep children safe from abuse
Sometimes we all need a little help says Tilly and Toby
1) Everyone has a right to be safe and happy
2) Bullying and any sort of abuse are never OK. Remember it is not your fault and it needs to stop NOW!
3) There are times where you can’t sort out a problem you have on your own. There are always people that can help you feel better
4) It can really help you talk to someone you can trust
5) You can help yourself and others to “feel better”
6) Remember a problem shared is a problem halved
