BBC News Interview on Self-Harm

Our Director Suzanne Skeete talks to BBC News about the rising levels of self-harms amongst teenagers.

How can I keep myself safe online and on my phone?

Don’t say or do anything online that you wouldn’t in person.
Set all online profiles as private as they can be.
If you receive any abusive, threatening or harassing comments, posts, or texts, keep a record of them all. Do not retaliate as it could be used against you in the future.
Never give your password to anyone other than parents or guardians.
If you receive abuse and harassment and it doesn’t stop, change usernames, email addresses, and/or
mobile phone number.
Don’t answer calls from unknown, blocked or private numbers.
If you are getting abusive phone calls/message contact your phone company and ask them to block any abuser’s phone number from calling.
